Who is RIT Colleges Against Cancer?
RIT Colleges Against Cancer has made a meaningful impact on campus by raising awareness about cancer prevention, supporting survivors, and contributing to national fundraising efforts. Through initiatives like Relay For Life, the organization has successfully united students, faculty, and community members to honor those affected by cancer while generating funds for the American Cancer Society that go towards research and patient support programs. Accomplishments include coordinating the largest student-run event at RIT, known as Relay For Life, hosting educational campaigns, and creating inclusive spaces where participants can learn about advocacy, early detection, and ways to give back.
Beyond fundraising, the club emphasizes community-building and leadership development through regular meetings, volunteer projects, and collaborative activities with other student organizations. Members participate in outreach events and social gatherings that strengthen teamwork while promoting a shared mission. These activities not only foster friendships and professional skills but also empower students to become advocates for change, helping build a supportive campus culture centered on compassion, resilience, and service.
