Who is the RIT Equestrian Club?
The RIT Equestrian Club offers students the opportunity to grow as riders, leaders, and teammates through the discipline and dedication of collegiate equestrian sport. Competing through the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA), our members represent the Rochester Institute of Technology with professionalism and pride at regular season competitions.
Year after year, our riders consistently place highly in their divisions, with many qualifying for regional and semifinal competitions. This is an accomplishment that reflects both individual commitment and the collective strength of our team. Beyond competition, the club fosters discipline, maturity, and patience, qualities that are essential not only in the ring but in everyday life.
Equestrian sport requires riders to adapt to different horses and changing circumstances, learning to interpret subtle cues and respond with calm, thoughtful communication.
