2022-23 was a memorable season for RIT Men’s Hockey, as the Tigers finished the regular season with a record of 25-13-1 and claimed the inaugural DeGregorio Trophy, awarded to the Atlantic Hockey Association regular-season champion. RIT was the top seed in the postseason tournament and had four student-athletes Carter Wilkie BS ‘25, Gianfranco Cassaro BS ‘25, Aiden Hansen-Bukata BS ‘24 and Tommy Scarfone BS ‘25 named First-Team All-Atlantic Hockey. Last year’s awards were highlighted by the 2022-23 Atlantic Hockey Player of the Year, Carter Wilkie BS ’25, Defenseman of the Year Aiden Hansen-Bukata BS ‘24 and Defensive Forward of the Year Cody Laskosky BS ‘24.
We are currently in first place and ranked 20th in the country in the 2023-24 season. We beat nationally ranked Notre Dame this year in front of a sold-out crowd of 10,555 by a score of 3-0. We are looking for another successful season and a trip to the NCAA tournament.
RIT's Men's Hockey team is fundraising from March 18-22, and our Tigers need you! Gifts will be used to enhance the student-athlete experience which may include funding special team trips, equipment, and other team priorities as determined by the head coach.
